Death By Ice coming later today

The Mafia Wars blog has posted some information about the Death By Ice event coming later today...most of which we already learned yesterday. But I did note that it says the event will be coming later today.  

I've seen a lot of players expressing frustration that the event hasn't appeared in the game yet. A specific time was never given for the start of the event, that I've seen. Just a date - June 28th. Well, it's still June 28th, and the Mafia Wars blog seems to confirm that the even IS coming today. Be watching!

Something that I've found interesting, the news of this event has spawned a new generation of subgroups and fight groups, etc. They will be dropping their primary family redtag in exchange for a new redtag group specifically for teaming up in this event. It opens up a lot of possibilities, I think!
