update: UnlockedMW toolbar v1.1.7

The UnlockedMW blog announced yesterday that a new version of the toolbar is available for download. Alex says this version is working very well, and indeed it's been working fine for me since I installed it this morning.

Many players recently experienced issues with the toolbar, or found that, as in my case, it disappeared altogether from your game without uninstalling it :-/ Myself and other Mistyfied admins and contributors continue to get questions about this, so I talked to Alex briefly this morning. He explained that the issue was actually overusage of the toolbar, because the hosting server could not handle all the traffic. 

It's good news that so many players are using the toolbar so often, but it's costly news for the toolbar's creator. They have switched to a better service, which can for now handle and adjust to the toolbar's growing use. Monthly costs have gone up with this change, and are expected to go higher.

If you use the toolbar frequently, consider donating a few dollars to keep it going. In cases like these, a few dollars from a few people go a long way. You can donate to UnlockedMW by going directly to their site at www.unlockedmw.com

You can install or reinstall the toolbar from the UnlockedMW downloads page, for either Chrome or Firefox. Be sure to also visit the UnlockedMW fan page for support and updates.

UnlockedMW toolbar updates

Many players were wondering what happened to their UnlockedMW toolbar this weekend, and you'll be happy to hear that a couple of updates were posted on the UnlockedMW page overnight. Firefox users will want to read THIS, and Chrome users will want to read HERE.

Alex posted that the issue was an outage with his webhost. As a solution to avoid downtime for users, they've been updated to work as standalone scripts. Once reinstalled, however, they should automatically look for and notify you of updates.

UnlockedMW toolbar updated for fighting changes

A few days ago, I showed you the new UnlockedMW toolbar for Mafia Wars. If you are one of the growing number of players using the toolbar, you'll be happy to learn that Alex, the toolbar's creator, spent several hours last night updating it to also provide some support for those who have the new fighting update.This is the first fighting tool that I've seen to be updated since the fighting changes last night, and it will work for those on both the old and new fighting systems. 

The stamina helper will function the same as it does for those still on the old fight system, by continuing to attack targets whom you beat. It will also close the fight results pop-up for you so that you can move on to your next target easily.

Since Brawler and FBMWAddon's Battlefield have not yet been updated, many players on the new fight system have been having withdrawals, and turning instead to robbing in order to spend their stamina. The stamina helper in the UnlockedMW toolbar should provide some relief.
