New limited time property build has been rolled out. I am disappointed by this new one not only because we already have loads of them but also because this one offers similar options the Assassin's Academy offers.

MAFIA WARS Assassin's Academy property, Sea Of Red sale ending today

 

What level were you able to build your Assassin's Academy property to in Mafia Wars? If you're still working on it, time is almost up. The countdown timer on the Mafia Wars home page shows about 8 hours left on the Assassin's Academy. Don't forget, there's a Zynga player survey for feedback on the Assassin's Academy property HERE.

Of lesser note, the Sea Of Red sale is also ending tonight at midnight Pacific time.

One more, a player survey from the Mafia Wars fan page. I suspect that there will be lots of feedback on the Assassin's Academy, as there were several things done differently with this limited time property for Mafia Wars. In addition to have more levels, there were higher level "mastery" items that could be built, a better offering of skill points to build, Facebook feed issues, and a huge amount of effort. Is it even possible to fully upgrade this thing?? Tell Zynga what you think.

MAFIA WARS Extended: Limited-Time-To-Request-Upgrade-Parts NYC Property: Assassin's Academy

Mobsters,

We are aware that the progress of many Mafia Wars players was recently impacted by a game feed issue that was beyond our control. During the outage, any Assassin's Academy upgrade part requests you may have sent were not visible and/or functioning correctly. As a courtesy, we have extended the Assassin's Academy by 24 hours to give everyone a proper chance to fully upgrade the property via feed requests. You now have until 5:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Tuesday 1/24 to upgrade the property with the help of your Mafia sending you upgrade parts. We apologize for the inconvenience earlier and thank you for your patience. - The Mafia Wars Team

New Property ~ Assassin's Academy

As you just noticed by Misty's recent post, we just got what we all wanted...a new property to beg for parts in order to build, then upgrade.  (NOT!)  This one however, poses a few improved stats.  The first problem is: LEVEL 15 in a 2 week period.  OUCH!  That's a ton of parts to beg for in my opinion.  Nonetheless, if you get building, the "Poison Dagger" offers initial stats of 77/31 while the upgraded property (Level 3) will get you an improved Poison Dagger with stats of 85/35.  

No skill points kick in until Level 4.

Level 4 offers us "Death From Afar" with stats of 41/86 and 3 attack points.  Level 6 improves on the stats to a mere 46/92.

Level 7 brings you a "Corner Shot" with initial stats of 95/63 plus 4 attack points.  Upgrading to Level 9 will improve on that to 101/66.  Level 11 brings you an "Assassin" with initial stats of 70/107, plus a nice 5 energy points. 

But wait, here's where it gets decent.  The 5 energy points don't increase but Level 13 offers 76/113, Level 14 offers 79/116 and Level 15 offers 82/119.

I expect the Level 15 Assassin will inspire some of the people who have just plain ole' been sick and tired of seeing property part beg posts to do just that: go post property part beg posts.

I can see a few of those players that have shunned the recent properties deciding to upgrade to Level 11  and as tired of seeing the building part requests on my newsfeed, I can *almost* see reason to go to Level 15.  The 82 attack is pretty bland, but the 119 defense is marginally inspiring.

I more likely, will save my friends from the hassle.  Go forth and beg I say!  I promise to click my 5 clicks.  I promise.

NEW LIMITED TIME PROPERTY: Assassin's Academy

The latest limited time property just hit your Mafia Wars home page, and this is slightly different than the previous limited time properties. A lot of us have been frankly bored with the limited time properties. This time the routine hasn't been shaken up too much, but it does offer better stat items and more levels. We have 2 weeks to get it built to level 15.

We now see what the Emerald level Assassins were for, which were added to the Mafia Wars inventory back on January 4th. Now that we can see the format / placement of the emerald level items, we can surmise there will another limited time property after this one in the same style.

I'm more interested in the +5 energy added when you build the Assassins!

Corner Shots will give +4 attack. Death From Afar will add +3 stamina.

Ooo! Look what I found on the Free Gifts page. Looks like we can send one of the building parts, Welding Torches, as free gifts. Nice.
