new mission loot added, and New Year's Eve party loot

Lots of interesting items have been added to the Mafia Wars inventory!

Such as the Manila Envelope, which says it's used for completing missions. Looks like a consumable-type item.

And there's apparently a special event "Party" coming, for New Year's Eve would be my guess. Some of these items just look awesome, if I do say so myself! They are reminiscent of items we've played or paid for in the game over the past year. Ms. Pac was a crate item, for instance. The Ma was from that awful Death By Ice event. Nate was from the Beat The Devs thing back at New Year's, I think. The Zombie of course we just saw recently. Etc etc.

 Ms. Jana rockin' the house. Cute!

 And I loved this astronaut, carrying a cooler and a boombox.

And I especially loved this one, oh how we miss you Nate!! That must be lemonade, because he doesn't drink.

INFECTED Mafia Wars Zombie Apocalypse begins

The Zombie Apocalypse is upon us! Fight to save humanity!

Start as a Human Survivor, but if iced by a Zombie you might become one! Your side is designated by an icon next to your name and a themed screen border.

Earn points by icing other players, and extra points for icing players of the opposite allegiance. A reward is granted at the end of each wave (~30 minutes) based on your allegiance and points.

Event runs Wednesday, October 26th at 1 PM PST and runs for about 10 days.

I got infected pretty fast!

 You can, of course, use reward points to buy antidotes.

 The points legend will be at the upper left of your fight list.

You'll know who's who by the unmistakable badges identifying which side they're on--human or zombie.

 Even fight result screens have been altered for this event.

Fight The Undead, New Loot items added

If you didn't have the patience to read through to the end of the previous post about the Fight The Undead event (I don't blame you), you might've missed that there are two loot items for the Fight The Undead event, one for the Survivors and one for the Zombies, and they will be upgradable. Looks like 4 tiers to each item; which item you win will depend on which "side" you end up on during these Zombie Waves.

Braincase 76 117 Quality: Superior Type: Armor Sub-Types: Head Location: Special Event

Apocalypse Bike 125 85 Quality: Superior Type: Vehicle Sub-Types: Motorcycle Location: Special Event

Those are the best of the two items from the Fight The Undead fight event. The other items listed above will likely just be featured items in the Marketplace, available for some ridiculous price in reward points.
