Italy will be closing in 7 days!  New Mission but more importantly time to get those stadiums built for the final Achievement in Italy.

NEW MISSION EVENT: End of Days

A new mission event hit the Mafia Wars home page a few minutes ago. It's called End Of Days, and the Slasher is its grand prize, which was just added to the Mafia Wars inventory today. You'll have 2 weeks to complete it, and this one will also include another Bonus Mission.

This mission event was first released with objectives that were literally impossible to complete in the given time frame--I called it Mission Impossible, and later amended or "retuned" to make it easier to complete.

Final Hours for Ice Season 14 and Dearly Departed mission event

Two events will ending in Mafia Wars today, starting in just under 5 hours when Ice Season 14 bows out.  The Dearly Departed mission event will be exiting the game a few hours after that. I forgot to collect from my Truck Shop a 4th time last night for the Bonus Quest: A New Beginning, so now I will be cutting it very close to complete the mission event--by 7 minutes! Fingers crossed. I haven't been doing so well with the ice seasons anymore, and frankly I've given up. Zynga throws too much competing crap in the game at one time and I'm tired of trying.

Best of luck to you all, if you're still working on either of these. I'm sure they'll be quickly replaced with someone else, as Zynga has gone into event overdrive lately. We really need a break.

Dearly Departed mission #10: BONUS QUEST: A New Beginning

This is the 10th and last mission in the Dearly Departed mission event for Mafia Wars. Called "A New Beginning", you might think at first that it will never end. Winning 300 fights in Chicago took around 1500 stamina. The hold-up will be collecting from your Truck Shop in Chicago every 8 hours. As for clearing 20 robbing boards--if you click Go Now it will take you to Chicago to start robbing, but you can clear robbing boards in any city in order to fulfill this objective. As of now all I'm waiting on is collecting from the Truck Shop; I should have this completed tomorrow morning. And good thing, this mission event events tomorrow night.

Conspiracy Mission Event: mission #10 Bonus mission, "Challenge Mission: Second Round"

Oh man, I'm glad to be done with this thing. In general, I like the idea of a bonus/challenge mission, but this was the icing on an already rotten cake, in this case.

Admittedly, I probably could have finished this a bit sooner, had I been more diligent about using stamina packs and declaring wars and collecting my properties. But I was flat-out outta steam by the time I got to this mission. This whole mission event was a terrible waste of energy and stamina in my opinion, and directly conflicted with other events going on in the game such as the Ice Seasons and mastery events. I highly dislike fighting in Chicago because of the increased stamina costs, especially when I would much rather have been working on the Ice Seasons. I REALLY hated blowing so many thousands of energy on this thing, when there was a mastery event in Italy that I could have/would rather have made much more use of.

You can collect from your Distillery every 8 hours, and you can declare a war every 8 hours, so if you were more on top of things than I was, you'd have finished this faster than I did. The icing was the hardest part for me to complete.
