Pink error pig spoof

I had to share this! I found this on the wall of a Facebook friend, Richard F.

The Mafia Wars Loot Lady also posted a couple other pink pig spoofs on her blog here, take a look for an additional giggle.

Harmless Spiders? little more to it than that...

It seems that what appears to us as yet another annoying gifting spam event, Zynga defines as a loot drop event, as the items come from jobs and fighting, and not solely from gifting. While the explanation still brought a ::facekeyboard:: moment on my part, it was rather what I suspected. The different format of this event from the normal Collect Three Little Piggies gifting events caused Zynga to not recognize this as a "gifting event".

Irksome. But let me proceed.
They call this a loot drop event??

But this is not an event, this is a royal P.I.T.A. How many times have we complained about getting these annoying pop-ups during fights? How many ices have we lost? I've seen more than a few people complaining about it during the current Battle of the Sexes community mock war. This goes back to the first time we saw this gifting format, back at Valentine's Day. It was a dud then, and it's a dud now. It's not exciting, it's not fun.

These are nothing short of disrupting to game play. I don't care a bit about asking for spiders, of which I'm already getting too many, while in the middle of fighting, most especially during a mock war.

In the background, once we've closed the giant, annoying pop-up that we've found another frikken spider, is yet another notification of it. Of course, that doesn't mean you got two spiders, Zynga was just making sure you got the first message.

In reality, if the image immediately above were the only notification I received of a spider or special item dropping, that's fine, that's perfectly adequate, and does not interrupt game play.Be it from fighting or jobbing, how's about just a regular loot drop notification like the above image shows? I wonder how much that would lesson my level of annoyance with some of these events.

A look back at Lucky Stash slot machine wins

Today, I was really surprised when I won a whopping 5 RPs from the Lucky Stash slot machine. It used to be, you won fairly regularly. Winning a larger amount of RPs wasn't exactly a common occurrence, but it happened often enough that I played the Bet 3 option frequently, and even bought RPs specifically to bet on the Lucky Stash once or twice.

These days, I rarely remember to even look at the Lucky Stash to use that measly free spin daily; it's an afterthought when I do think of it. For a few months now, it's quite uncommon to win even ONE reward point, so I was surprised to land this 5 RP win today.

When I looked through my game screen shots, it was pretty obvious that mid-August through mid-October were the heyday of the Lucky Stash.

Back on August 24, I landed this win of 240 RPs.

On September 24, I made my biggest win ever, 600 RPs.

On September 26th, one of our admins won a cool 450.

And I got this win of 240 on October 15th.

After the October 15th win, there's no mention of any big wins....until this one on January 2nd. One of my comments on in the photo caption was: A measly 5 RPs, and this is the first I've won in at least a couple of months.

Really, at this point, it seems rather a useless feature, a space-filler that Zynga thinks is pretty apparently. But who really gives a flip about it anymore? It used to be a nice feature in the game, now it's just a waste of time. Who knows, maybe they were concerned about people with gambling problems, but I doubt that. More likely, they just didn't like the fact that players were winning and actually gaining benefit from a game feature, never mind the fact that they were making money off of it.

more Mock War graphics

A couple more Ladies' graphics that I whipped up for the Battle of the Sexes community mock war. Just for fun, principally, but a few people did ask if I would be making any :0)

Mystery Bags = more junk loot

A Big Six? Really? Past "Limited Edition" free gifts are NOT
something I want to waste my time clicking on a Mystery Bag for.

Maybe it's time to start pushing for an update to
Mystery Bag loot. Ugh.

For The Ladies In The Mock

A little something for the ladies out there participating in the Battle of the Sexes Mock War ;)

Mistyfied Turns 1

Ch-ch-ch-changes!

One year ago today, Mistyfied was born. It's hard to believe it's been a year! The page has gone through many changes during that time, and today was no exception. We rolled out a new page logo, have added some new Feature Contributors, and as you may have noticed - began a transition to blog format with RSS feeds to the page.

The blog format is something I've been kicking around for a few weeks now, the main draw for me being the archives. Facebook has no structured archiving, and it sucks having to go digging up graphics or notes when I want to repost them or when someone asks for a link! Also, in addition to being familiar, Blogspot offers a lot of options and widgets that I'll be tying in as we progress.

Last but not least, Tina and I recently began looking to add some 'Feature Contributors' for the page, and reached out to a few reliable individuals. You may have already seen a few posts from FC Keith Yuzik, who was added a few days ago. Also joining us as FCs are Le Trainspotter, Marlena WurstMike Shay, and Wella Warner, and also Nick Greig has rejoined as an FC, so look to hear from some of them from time to time.

Thanks for a great first year, Mistyfied!
