Conspiracy Mission Event: mission #9: Bottom's Up

Hopefully you haven't collected from your Chicago properties yet, because the 9th mission in the Mafia Wars Conspiracy mission event calls for you to collect from your Truck Shop 3 times. You can collect from the Truck Shop every 8 hours.

The real bummer is the stupid job requirements. I'm not liking having to divert all my energy into exorbitant job costs in a city that I'm not even working on! It'll be over 8000 energy to complete that objective. *sigh*

Thanks Keith for the completed screenie...he completed this mission 36 minutes before I could collect the last time from my Truck Shop :D

NEW FIGHT LOOT: Coming Next Week

Notice that "the Don's Gift" seems to have gone missing? I kept watching for that yesterday, along with the Family properties. For next week, it didn't even make the list. I'm bummed that we have to wait for Family properties again...that was one I had looked forward to. Oh well, hopefully only a few more days :-/

This coming week looks to be rather busy, especially considering that Zynga rarely includes all the new updates in this "This and Next Week" posting. We have another Ice Season, another Secret District, another extra mastery event--this one for Brazil, at least, and:

NEW FIGHT LOOT! I figured we were about due for new fight loot, and I've seen lots of random comments asking when the next generation would arrive. Now we know.

Collector's Edition items "sell out quickly" (not)

I had to laugh when I saw the Mafia Wars fan page on Facebook make a post claiming that you needed to hurry up and get your Collector's Edition item, Rhinoceros, because, and I quote, "They'll sell out quickly". I haven't seen these sell out in quite awhile. In fact, I've gleefully watched the sales slow to a dribble. They barely sold 1,500 of the second batch today over 8 hours, before they finally just pulled the home page banner a couple of minutes ago. Not only did they not sell out, it was a very poor performance.

Zynga needs to lower their prices on these items. They are not a good deal.

SURVEY: 3x mastery event

Zynga has been on a survey kick lately. Filling out a survey for Zynga often feels like wasted effort, because they rarely listen. In this case the survey offering is about the current 3x Mastery event in Italy, so it might be worth filling out the form...positive reinforcement, and all :0)

LIMITED TIME ITEM: Bat-Eared Fox

The previously-promised limited time property item just arrived. Now we know what the Bat-Eared Fox is for. It does not offer any skill points when you build it, and with stats like that? It'll stay unbuilt, as far as my game is concerned.

I would be more interested in bothering with it if it offered additional skill points when built, over and above what can already be built from the Private Zoo.

Conspiracy Mission Event: mission #8: Packaging

You can put Spys on your wishlist, but they're pretty easy to obtain. I got more than enough by clearing two robbing boards in Chicago, and they drop from jobs, too. The Wetland Guides will take a bit more work. I went through 2/3 of my stamina to get them all...not unreasonable. Finding the needed Tax Collectors wasn't horrible...although I really don't like fighting in Chicago. But I got what I needed with about 950 stamina.

Be sure to request Augmenter boosts...those do help. And at least the Hunstmen drop in other cities. Or they drop in Italy, at least, where I'm doing jobs to take advantage of the 3x mastery going on for Italy right now.

Conspiracy Mission Event: mission #7 Purification

 Mission #7 in the Mafia Wars Conspiracy mission event, Purification, is another energy hog :-/

The objective TRADE 15 ARMA CUNRAS FOR 15 HEAVY ASSAULT SQUADS is easily accomplished by posting to your news feed.

Clearing 3 robbing boards is also easily accomplished, but the yucky part of the mission is having to LOOT 25 WOODEN CRATES FROM JOB: "SET UP A DISTILLERY IN CICERO...remember to activate your Lockpick in Chicago before going at one. That helped me get 'r done.

Some players are experiencing terrible drop rates on the wooden crates though. 2 crates in 5000 energy is pretty bad. Thanks Keith for the screenie.

Purification

The only real solution is to start our own manufacturers, so we don't have to worry so much about corruption. Takeover of some current manufacturers would work, too.

More Mafia Wars inventory items were added since yesterday, three of them for a Special Event. Gee, I can't wait.

Time is running out for you to finish building your Botanical Garden, you've got a little under three hours left. 

 

Two new inventory items were added into the Mafia Wars inventory since yesterday, which could indicate yet another limited-time property. I'm going to run away screaming if Zynga makes it as difficult to build as the last couple of properties, especially now that they've broken the Mission Crew Links script. I only finished my Botanical Garden last night, and I did not like how hard it was to complete. I know there are lots of players who aren't even close to done, so Zynga should beware that people are getting jaded over these properties. Players get sick of the endless begging. I know I sure did, particularly with the Botanical Garden.
