New Contest: Design Your Mafia Wars Crates from May 23rd to 11:59 pm Pacific Time, May 30th.

Here's what you have to do:  think of a unique theme and one piece of loot (weapon, armor or vehicle) that will fit in this crate.

What you can win: "a chance to win some awesome Mafia Wars Prizes."

Read the rules. Of note, this contest is unfortunately only open players 18 years of older who live in the United States. 

Here is what Zynga had to say about those rules:

Percues asked: Why is there an age limit on the loot contest? Annoys the hell out of me because I've been waiting and waiting and now I can't do crap with my item ideas.

Answer: Unfortunately, the legal paperwork involved in allowing minors to participate in contests is too complicated for us to make all contests open to entrants under the age of majority (18 in the USA). Similarly, the complexity of contest rules around the world make it difficult for us to allow participation or entries from non-USA countries. Both of these restrictions are, unfortunately, common to contests held by most companies.

Zynga crate theme and loot design contest

Zynga is now holding a crate theme and loot design contest. I might even enter this contest, as making my recent city idea parodies gave me a few ideas.

You have to come up with a cool theme for the crates, and at least one loot item from the crate category. The loot item you design can be any type of loot - weapon, armor, vehicle, or animal. You've got until 11:59PM Pacific time on August 28th to enter your designs. Make sure you read the rules and requirements HERE, and check out the official Mafia Wars blog for additional details.
