Mafia Wars Live notes

Watch the video above for yourself ~ here are a few of my notes that I took during the live broadcast:

1. War loot rollbacks were addressed, Zynga apologized for how it was handled, but doesn't sound like anything has changed. As in, they don't plan on doing anything further about the current situation. 
2. "Secret Districts" part of next mission event?- reward is early access to a secret district that will be released publicly at the end of the event. In Brazil. New jobs, new loot, difficulty to be on par with some of the later districts of Brazil.
3. Mystery bag loot refresh is coming. This week.
4. CM said that BK items should have been turned off in MBs.
5. The new city - it is a city, not a country. It's going to be stylistically different, thematically different, and should be coming out in the next 3 months. "In three months".

Mafia Wars: new city parodies

David Reedy started a lighthearted thread over at Get Satisfaction that caught my eye and inspired me. David "leaked" information about a new city in Mafia Wars: Thompson Falls, MT. He included some "facts" about the new city:

Skip church because you are hung-over;
Tip a cow;
Do 90 in a 75 speed zone;

...to name a few.

David was just joking, of course, but it made me laugh, and gave me a few ideas of my own. Here is my homage to my little city of Gallatin, Tennessee.

Nearby Hopkinsville, Kentucky has a notable Amish population. That's very near to Fort Campbell, a large United States Army base. Shout-out to Chris Barber!

I'm probably pushing the envelope a bit with this one, but I had fun with it :0)

Putting these graphics together gave me some ideas for this week's loot design contest.

3x Mastery in Italy + Ruby-Throated Hummingbird

For the next four days, get 3x the job mastery when working in Italy! Additionally, Italy jobs will apparently sometimes drop the Ruby-Throated Hummingbird, which carries stats of (86,86).

As the guys have mentioned before during Mafia Wars Live broadcasts, they like to have "two new cities". Currently the two newest locations are Italy and Brazil. We've seen many hints about the coming new city. The new city is rumored to be Chicago, but that is largely based on popular opinion and there has been no verification from Zynga to that effect. In fact, I have seen it said, "I wouldn't go with Chicago yet".

NEXT CITY: take your pick

Zynga has been narrowing down the list of potential new cities and locations lately, and now they want to know what you think of the 'finalists'. You should see a half-banner on your Mafia Wars home page soon, inviting you to take the survey, or you can go HERE to take it.

I'm picking Chicago because I love those early 20th century mobsters. I hear there's a story idea behind the Baghdad option though, so that does make me curious what they could have in mind.
