MAFIA WARS secret district Smuggler's Haven banner replaces The Slammer

I had to laugh when I saw this. Now that the Mafia Wars secret district The Slammer has come to a close, Zynga thought they'd throw the banner for Smuggler's Haven on your Mafia Wars home page...just to let you know it's there, of course.

I just laughed and logged back out.

Smuggler's Haven extended?

Lately I've been pretty regular about prowling Get Satisfaction, and I find a lot of good ideas on there some days. This evening I ran across THIS THREAD thanking Zynga for extending the Smuggler's Haven event.

I went and checked my timer, and sure enough, I have extra time now too. Is this a mistake? A fluke? I really HOPE not. With all the nerfing and screwing they're giving us lately, I really hope this is something we get to keep :-/ I sent a message to Cerulean Master asking about this after a brief scan of the forums, but who knows if I'll get an answer. 

This and Next Week - better late than never

Zynga has finally posted their This And Next Week bit on the official blog - 2 days late is better than never, right?

As I've become accustomed to, the "schedule" for next week really doesn't tell us much information, and like usual I'm sure we'll get hit with a dozen other new things this week that weren't on the blog.

The next mission event will be based in the new Secret District in Brazil, and it'll be called To Steal A Mockingbird. The secret district, Smuggler's Haven, unlocks for everyone tomorrow. Remember, it sounded like these secret districts will come and go, so it's only here for a limited time.

Epic Family Boss Fights
Some epic bosses are on their way and it's going to take the collaborative strength of your family to defeat them!

That sounds potentially fun, although I despise the current boss fights.

Did you think that the server issues may have made me miss out... grrrrrrrrrrr
