the deal with the Hung Chu Enforcers

There's been a lot of discussion about the drop rates for Hung Chu Enforcers since last night. I decided to try and do a drop rate study to determine what frequency they could be obtained for those doing the Crossing The Line mission event. That was a silly idea, as it turns out, and I'm glad I gave up quickly.

As we know, the objective states to loot 12 Hung Chu Enforcers from Job: "Hire an unsavory crew".

Clicking the Go Now button brought you to this job in Pirate tier of Bangkok. This job does not actually have a loot drop associated with it.

In Jen's post about the Enforcers, she noted that Hung Chu Enforcer came from a marketplace crate in the past. My own screenshots also show that it is indeed a marketplace item, and that's when I realized ~ my energy account wasn't getting them to drop because the account had already collected exactly 12 Enforcers. After that point, they will not drop from that job.

I know some of you are having trouble getting them to drop and you don't have the 12 yet, but keep at it. The account I was using for testing purposes last night maxxed out on them in about 3 levels. I already have a few of them on my personal account too. They will drop if you haven't gotten 12 yet, although the drop rate is low. I've seen a few people say they looted the 12 Hung Chu Enforcers but they are not being counted for the mission. Sadly, for those of you with that issue, Customer Support is probably your next step.

Hung Chu Enforcers: why the drop rates are bad

A little while ago, I made a post about the drop rates of the Hung Chu Enforcers required for this new mission event. It included the above screen shot of the Hung Chu Enforcer inventory entry.

I was curious about the drop rates, so I dusted off an old energy account. I went back into my inventory to get a screen shot of my start number of Hung Chu Enforcers, and lookie what I found! Yep, they want you to buy your way out of it.

Well, now we know why the drop rates are bad. That makes me not want to do this mission event at all.

And speaking of that drop rate study that I started? If anything, Zynga has actually reduced the drop rate since adding this option to purchase the damn things with Reward Points.  I just got started, but I've gotten zero Hung Chu Enforcers out of the first 19,000 energy spent.

Mission Event: Crossing The Line (early edition)

{K}
Step 1 "OVERSEER"

Pretty standard here..nothing to harsh or out of the ordinary. Get support from your mafia only needs 5, so easily enough achieved by just going through the newsfeed looking for the people looking for mission help. It would appear that part
is fixed in that helping on others missions adds to your own.

Winning the 15 fights only involved finding a healthy target/helper and power attacking them 3 times. (For assistance feel free to look for 'volunteers' on your rival list).

Drop rate for the Hung Chu Enforcers may be level dependant, not sure..(took me
about 900 energy to get the 12 needed)

The Protective Shirts (27/64) I guess would help most people, I'll have to see if I
have room on the shelves for them with the rest of the dust collectors. :(

Step 2 "The Mark"
Job: "Recieve a Kickback From The Buyer" involves doing that particular job 10 times, nothing tricky there...(phew)

Loot 12 Documents: The Documents seemed to drop easy enough..I used the fight list for this one with the reasoning "if they are on the fight list in Bangkok it might drop easier" :) (Didn't try to find helpers on the rival list this time)

Step 3 "The Fast Lane"

Rob 8 Chop Shops: big stamina savor by going to the fightlist and going to fighter profiles and robbing from there. BENEFIT: cost no stamina to look...DRAWBACK: can be time consuming because everyone is hitting chop shops..
Fight 16 Opponents: find a healthy taget and power attack a few times (once again your rivals will be very willing to help you with this part..they just don't know it yet!)
Collect from your chop shop 2 times: time burner...remember to never collect from
properties till you know what is needed in the missions....oops

Step 4 "Encore"
Rob 8 Auto boutiques: fight list is handy as before..saves stamina searching for them..same bonus and drawbacks as above.
Smuggle goods Through a fishery: energy costs suck at ruby level, only involves doing the job 20 times..pretty straight forward.
Collect From Your Auto Boutique: Another time burner since you can only collect from it every 12 hours.

Step 5 "Indulgence"
Ask Mafia For 6 Satchels: The usual ask for help..(didn't need to, apparently I helped 6 people get ther satchels so no need to post for help)
Buy Out a Costume Shop: Just do the job 15 time (times like this ruby level sux...joking
)
Buy One Item From the Port: Watch your timer on this one...remember the part about not collecting from anywhere until you see what a mission involves? Purchases are only every 24 hours...
Step 6 Small Fry
Ice 6 Opponents in New York (half the fun is trying to find live targets..the other half is stealing somone elses ice)
Rob 9 Mega CAsinos: Fight list saves hunting through the robn page..same bonus and drawbacks from before (though I did get a Talon for my trouble).
Loot 15 Metal Containers: The drop rate looks like it is scaled to level
Declare A War One Time: YAY!!..Friends will enjoy helping on this part :)
Step 7 Pity Party
Clear 2 Robbing Boards: usual robbing, no need for burners..just have to get through 2 complete boards.
Take out 10 Armed Guards: Each one costs 8 stamina to hit (for me anyway) so plan your stamina ahead!
Disrupt Rival Smuggling Ring: Just need to do the job 16 times, easy enough..
Collect From Your Dockyard 3 times: LAST TIME BURNER! YAY! Remember you can only collect from it every 8 hours!
COLLECT AND DONE! :)
Though the Ratite Dragster is decent, if you are a daily player it is not really worth speeding up the missions for the reward points. With more than 9 days on the
timer, should be ample time to complete this one without the feeling of pressure.

new Mission Event: Crossing The Line

Zynga didn't waste any time with rolling out yet another event. I'm hoping they slow back down with the events, because I'm really getting tired of all this ...crap... going on in the game again.

Crossing The Line is the name of the mission event, and it'll last just under 10 days. Oh and guess what? It's on a slow rollout. Mike has it, but I don't. Hopefully they won't wait 4 days to get it into everyone's game this time, or you might only have a few days to finish it!

Thanks for the heads up Mike ~ he's always notices these things before I do :0)
