  5. ARRGH! I did not know..........Jose and I were friends just before he became so hard to befriend, lol. He was so ornery. Jose was my go to guy for questions only after I carefully read all of his notes lmao! My last post to him I fought as his capo and earned $0 and I posted that along with "grumbles". One of my fav pics of him is close up shot of just his eyes. Sigh, oh Jose, you will be so missed:( Signed, not a sheeple

  8. Misty, this was beautiful I felt it in my heart and it made me cry through a smile the whole video. Jose's death really affected me and you have given us a way to have a tribute to him. I too miss his posts they made me laugh and all the things you captured about him, brought tears to my eyes in a good way. I agree with Ann he would have been very proud. He had a soft side that I got to know and you captured it so well, thank you for that. My last conversation with him a couple weeks ago was about the beautiful morning he was having and how beautiful the birds singing were, I was having the same kind of morning so we talked about how that made us feel. We just shared that thought but it was a happy thought and how I will remember him. He was my first friend in the game world and he helped me so much and I shared that with others and every day I think of him when he pops up on my board helping me in a fight, I will never remove him. This tribute made my heart feel better. I know how much you loved him as a friend, he was the reason I met you. Thank you again for this tribute Misty, you have given me a place to come often when I think of him. And when I do I will smile. Cheryl

  14. Jose is not the kind of person that's easily forgotten. He had a certain quality of being so unabashed, and REAL. He was a unique person in so many ways. He was funny, smart, and immensely helpful. And he also had a very tender and loving side to his nature that he wasn't afraid to show to his friends. I think he touched a lot more lives than he was aware of. Maybe from his vantage point now he can see how many people really liked and really cared about him, too. I hope so. Jose, so long, my friend. Fare thee well on your journey, until we meet again

  15. Finally my slow connection allowed me to play this video in its entirety. This is a very moving tribute to the man behind the Mafia Wars persona. You captured the essence of a person that many people looked up to who would never otherwise have known his personal side. Thank you Misty for this beautiful memory. Rest in Peace Jose

  16. I remember when Jose became my friend. He was not hard to become friends with, he simply needed to be respected. And, yet he was humble. I, actually never knew he was so well known in the Mafia Wars world. I just knew he was a really great guy who knew a lot, a heck of a lot about the game. He was so meticulous in everything he discovered, documenting all and pretty much always right with his hunches. But, I saw a more human side and we had great conversations. Jose was a genius and mafia wars allowed him a way to occupy a genius's mind. I had to manipulate him into having a discussion about the idea of genius, and we had a great time playing with words. He obliged me on a night when he wanted to be grumbly and be disgusted with the sheeples. The world will miss you Jose! Ride on Jose!

  17. Misty, this is a masterpiece! Thank you for putting together a nice memento of our MW friend, Jose Perez. He and I became friends before he became HTG (hard to get). I am so dumbfounded--I wasn't aware he's gone. I only found out a few minutes ago when I went to visit his wall to say hi. He's the third mafia I have lost this year, and I am terribly sad.

May you rest in peace, Jose! Bam!!!
