It's easy enough to complain about the lack of live targets on the fight list, but what about some solutions?
Item number 6 on Zynga's Q&A list to the players has to do with the fight list, and the difficulty of getting ices. To a small degree, the new fighting system helps with this by updating the fight list when you close a fight. It's still hard to find anyone to ice, and you have to be really fast about it. Here is Zynga's Question & Answer on the topic:
6. I don’t see many players on my fight list or they are all dead/iced. What gives? Also, sometimes a player shows up as active on my fight list, but no "Attack Again" button appears after the first time I attack them. What’s going on here?
These issues are mentioned each time we ask for player feedback. We understand how frustrating it can be when you want to fight and there is no one to attack. We are constantly making changes to increase the number of live players of an appropriate skill level that appear in your fight list, but the number will always vary, especially during times of high fighting activity. When the “Attack Again” button fails to appear, it means that the player was alive when you first loaded the fight list, but was killed/iced before you wanted to attack them a second time. Fights can end very quickly, but we are constantly looking into ways to keep the list as up-to-date as possible. Please share your feedback regarding Fighting Dead/Iced Players. The Attack Again button disappearing will no longer a mystery for players with the new fighting system, as you will have the opportunity to ice the person who steals your ice.
A couple of ideas that I have seen are to merge the fight servers, or 'fight buckets' as I think Cole referred to them as, and to also add some inactive players to the fight list. Both are good ideas. What do you think?
